Engrish (イングリッシュ) is a slang term for the funny English language mistakes made by speakers of Asian languages, like Japanese.
Many Asian English speakers accidentally switch the English "R" and "L." This can lead to cute and funny pronunciation and spelling. For example:RICE become LICE
FLIGHT becomes FRIGHT
SURPRISE becomes SUPPLIES
In some cases, one letter missing can make a big, very vulgar mistake.... COUNTRY becomes CUNTRY...
But on the whole, ENGRISH is much more often about the VERY CONFUSING English that computer translation gives us. It is very hard to translate Japanese to English directly, and computers just aren't very good at it. CHILD SHREDDED MEAT, probably is meant to mean shredded meat for babies...
